Pork Pies

Joanne told me via Facebook that she and her husband made pork pies. They are from Liverpool so these pies are authentic. I begged her to bring me some of them to the Spring Sprint Event. I know, I am sad.

I know no shame when it comes to food…..

So when we went for the 2,5km fun walk with Birdie and some of my colleagues, I went with a smirk on my face because secured in the stroller were the pork pies Joanne made.

Instead of the 2,5 km we actually went 5k instead- even though the weather was a bit dodgy and quite windy. That was ok because I knew the pork pies were probably not exactly „light“ in calories.

I hate it when I am right.

When I asked nicely for the recipe and looked at the ingredients I was glad that I had eaten the pies first and then checked on the list haha.

They were soooo good. My husband was walking up and down in the kitchen obviously fighting with himself. Should he take food away from his breastfeeding and sleep deprived wife? Graciously I shared the pies with him. That’s love, right?

You can find the original recipe here.

Needless to say that I tried my own version and will let you in the upcoming posts.
